By Michael Rosenberg, Bleacher Sports The NFLPA announced that the league’s collective bargaining agreement will be terminated on February 1, 2020.

It comes after the New England Patriots quarterback was charged with domestic violence stemming from an incident in which he hit his ex-girlfriend and threatened to kill her, and it comes on the heels of another NFL player’s arrest on domestic violence charges stemming from a domestic violence incident.

They will miss two preseason games and the next two regular season games.

He said the league would also work to “establish a zero tolerance policy for domestic violence and to make it clear that the NFL is committed to preventing this kind of behavior from happening again.”

Goodell also said the NFL will be conducting a series of community outreach efforts.

He urged fans to report any and all instances of domestic violence to police and to report online.

Goodell said the focus of the league will be on preventing domestic violence in the community and to the community’s health, safety and well-being.
