If you pay less than a cent for your smartphone, it can be tempting to go without it.
But the average monthly cost for smartphones is $1,400, and the average cost of a smartphone is $930, according to data from market research firm Gartner.
If you want to get a good deal, you may want to spend a little more.
The data from Gartners, which is a leading market research company, shows that consumers who spend more money on phones tend to pay more for them, according the Wall Street Journal.
“It is likely that the smartphone is a key driver of spending over the long term,” said Jaron Lanier, the chief executive of Gartnes.
You can see how the average smartphone costs on a chart at the bottom of this story.
The WSJ story says that smartphone owners pay about $1.1 trillion per year in phone taxes.
That figure doesn’t include phone-related expenses like phone contracts and taxes.
The average cost per smartphone is about $600, according Garters, while the average price of a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge was $800.
